Festivals 24-06-2025One of the four Riga International Film Festival (RIGA IFF) competition sections, the regionally unique celebration of the audiovisual art and music, has taken a new shape this festival edition, with expanded geographical reach and an exciting host of prizes. This year, music videos created by Baltic artists or produced in one of the three Baltic countries will compete for a monetary award from Erica Synths, filming equipment provided by BBrental, and additional prizes. CLUJ-NAPOCA: To a Land Unknown by Mahdi Fleifel won the Transilvania Trophy in the official first- and second-time director competition of the 24th Transilvania International Film Festival (13 - 22 June 2025). Romanian/Serbian The New Year That Never Came by Bogdan Mureșanu won Best Feature in the Romanian Days Competition, as well as the award for the most popular domestic film at the festival.
