The “slow” or “holiday” season in global cinema today is a myth, and Slovenia and its cinema is no exception. Early-to-mid spring is commonly known as “doc season” and, of course, Slovenia has its representatives there, such as Petra Seliškar’s The Mountain Won’t Move that premiered at Visions du Réel in Nyon, as well as three other films that were screened at ZagrebDox. Also, pre-Cannes spring is also busy with “smaller” festivals, such as Bolzano, Crossing Europe in Linz or goEast in Wiesbaden where three Slovenian films and co-productions will be screened. For short films, Oberhausen is approaching.
