ZAGREB: Extracurricular directed by Ivan-Goran Vitez is Croatia's candidate for the 93rd Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences award in the best international feature film category. The 93rd Academy Awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on 25 April 2021.
TALLINN: The main competition of the 24th edition of the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival will screen 25 films. The festival runs 13 – 29 November 2020.

This political docudrama is based on the play The Three Lives of Antigone, written by a well-known and controversial Slovenian philosopher Slavoj Žižek.

BUCHAREST: The Les Films de Cannes à Bucarest Film Festival has chosen a hybrid 11th edition (23 October - 1 November 2020) mixing outdoor, drive-in and online screenings, as indoor cinemas in Bucharest have closed, re-opened and closed again in the last two weeks.
