BELGRADE: Over 80 films from around the world and Serbia will screen in the competitive and non-competitive sections of the 18th Beldocs International Documentary Film Festival, which will take place in Belgrade 21 – 27 May 2025.

VALLETTA: The British television crime drama The Good Ship Murder created by Paul Matthew Thompson and Mike Benson is currently shooting its third season in Malta. The production is supported through the Malta Film Commission’s Cash Rebate programme.

BUCHAREST: Claudiu Mitcu’s sophomore feature What God Thinks about Animals / Ce crede Dumnezeu despre animale has entered postproduction. The project was financed by the Romanian Film Centre (CNC) in its Thematic Fiction Films section.

ZAGREB: Fourteen selected film artists from ex-Yugoslavian countries will take part in the 2nd edition of Slano Film Days, which will be held 17 – 21 June 2025 in the Croatian coastal village of Slano. This year, the event initiated by Mirsad Purivatra will welcome Steve Buscemi and Daniel Brühl as guests.

BUCHAREST: Romanian/Serbian coproduction The New Year That Never Came by Bogdan Mureșanu received 10 awards, including Best Long Film, Best Director and Best Debut Film, at the 19th Gopo Awards held at the „I.L. Caragiale” National Theatre in Bucharest on 29 April 2025.
