PRAGUE: East Doc Platform announced the opening of accreditations for the Prague event.

This year Lithuania is participating in Berlinale and the European Film Market for the sixth time. In one of the most renowned international film festivals in the world the country will showcase its achievements and plans in the field of cinematography. During the 10-day event, around fifty professionals representing the Lithuanian film industry will share news and experience; introduce local festivals, market advantages and projects; explore networking opportunities; and participate in companion events.

Critically acclaimed Czech director Petr Vaclav premieres his latest drama WE ARE NEVER ALONE (Forum - World Premiere) at the Berlinale.

Krakow, 10th February 2016 - This year's special guest at the 56th Krakow Film Festival will be the cinematography of Sweden. Within the frames of the section, the latest documentary and short films will be shown, as well as the programme for children and teenagers, and a selection of student films. The representatives of film industry from Sweden and Poland will meet at a joint conference.

PRAGUE: The Prague based MagicLab has announced it is providing VFX and grading for the highly anticipated two part historical biopic Masaryk, about son of the first president of Czechoslovakia who became the Czech Foreign Minister between 1940-1948. The film, directed by Julius Ševčík and produced by In Film, is now in production.

VILNIUS: The 21st Vilnius IFF, running 31 March – 14 April 2016, will screen 47 films in three competition sections.

PARIS: French films claimed a market share of 8.9 percent in CEE territories. The numbers were driven by the strong performances of Taken 3 and The Little Prince across the region.
