International competition EurAsia of the 17th Black Nights Film Festival announced today a premiere-rich line-up of 22 European and Asian films. Iranian director Ali Ahmadzadah’s “Kami’s Party” will have its world premiere as it meet its audiences for the first time in Tallinn, along with 6 international and 15 regional premieres. The film focuses on daily lives of Iranian upper class youth.
VALLETTA: U.S. scriptwriter Robert McKee will open the International Institute for Writers in Malta with a workshop on screenwriting on 30 November 2013.
The jury presided by the Luxembourgish producer and director Donato Rotunno also awarded the Special Prize of the Jury to the film Heavenly Shift by Márk Bodzsár.
Today, the 17th Jihlava IDFF was topped off with the Closing Ceremony presenting the competition section winners, audience awards and the Silver Eye Award. The ceremony was traditionally staged by the Vosto5 ensemble. The presentation of awards was followed by the premiere of the long-awaited Czech-Polish film Return of Agnieszka H. by Krystyna Krauze and Jack Petrycki.
ZAGREB: The Indian-German-French production The Lunchbox directed by Ritesh Batra won the Golden Pram best film award and a prize of 4,000 EUR at the 11th Zagreb FF.

The European Film Academy announces the first winners who will be honoured at this year’s 26th European Film Awards.
Three documentary films produced by the Wajda Studio will have their international premiere at the 56th International Festival for Documentary and Animated Film DOK Leipzig: "When I Am A Bird" by Monika Pawluczuk, "Joanna" by Aneta Kopacz and "The Love Equation of Henry Fast" by Agnieszka Elbanowska.
