WIESBADEN: Bosnian/Macedonian Silence of Reason by Kumjana Novakova received the Golden Lily for Best Film at the 24th goEast - Festival of Central and Eastern European Film, which was held in Wiesbaden 24 – 30 April 2024.

BUCHAREST: The Romanian/Hungarian feature film Libertate directed by Tudor Giurgiu won 10 awards out of 14 nominations at the 18th edition of the Gopo Awards, held at the National Theatre “I.L. Caragiale” in Bucharest on 29 April 2024. Libertate scored in the Best Long Film and Best Director categories, among others.

MUNICH: Roman Ďuriš’s debut Fakir will have its world premiere at the largest festival of documentary films in Germany, DOK.fest Munich, on 3 May 2024. The film talks about breaking toxic generational cycles and trauma, which is a highly relevant topic especially among young people.

COTTBUS: The East-West coproduction market connecting cottbus has opened submissions for feature film projects for its 26th edition (6 - 8 November 2024). Thirteen projects in development will be selected for cocoPITCH and six works in progress for cocoWIP.
