The grants for feature film development were announced by the Georgian National Film Center on 7 February 2022.

We, members of the European Film Academy, declare our strongest protest and unequivocal opposition to the Russian military aggression against the independent sovereign country of Ukraine. We express our solidarity with the people of Ukraine and say NO to war. We demand Russia to halt immediately all military activities in Ukraine.

Zatopek dominated the evening with 8 wins - Zatopek wins 8 prizes at the Czech Lion Awards 2021 - Best Feature Film, Best Director, Actor in a Leading Role, Best Cinematography, Best Sound, Best Film Editing, Best Makeup and Hairstyling and Best Stage Design. Czech filmmakers strongly supported Ukraine against the Russian attack and called for freedom.

The entire Estonian film industry calls on their government to implement extraordinary temporary measures to ban the production and distribution of state-sponsored audiovisual films from Russia and Belarus in Estonia, and to suspend cooperation in filmmaking and culture with their autocratic regimes until the war in Ukraine stops and the subsequent situation satisfies the international community.

We, the undersigned, express our support to the people of Ukraine in such a dire moment. The Kremlin's aggression is a terrible act of war that has no place in modern society, in Europe or a democratic world.

Arthouse cinemas bring people together, create spaces for discussion, show diversity in the world and in our societies, defend the freedom of art and see themselves as partners of all filmmakers around the world who, with courage, talent and sensitivity, dare to look at the world in crisis. In this way we participate in a living democratic society.

Members of EFAD (European Association of Directors of Film Funds and Centers), of which HAVC director Chris Marcich is a member, expressed solidarity with the population of Ukraine on the invasion of the country, violating the territorial integrity of any sovereign state. EFAD's core values are the defense of democracy, freedom of expression and freedom of creative expression, as well as its commitment to respect for human rights, and in Ukraine each of these principles is currently threatened.

The Slovak Audiovisual Fund and the Slovak Film Commission express full solidarity with the country, people, and institutions of Ukraine, following its non-acceptable invasion by Russian Armed Forces.

EFAD members affirm that they stand in solidarity with the Ukrainian people following the invasion of Ukraine which violates the territorial integrity of a sovereign nation. The core values of our association are to defend democracy, freedom of expression and freedom of artistic creativity as well as the respect of human rights. Each of these principles is now under threat in Ukraine.
