STRASBOURG: The 2021 European Heritage Days will celebrate Inclusive and Diverse Heritage by events held by participating countries mostly in September and October 2021. The event has been a joint initiative of the Council of Europe, which is currently presided over by Slovenia, and the European Commission since 1999.
The European Heritage Days, a joint initiative of the Council of Europe and the European Commission since 1999, are the most widely celebrated participatory cultural events shared by people living in Europe. The pan-European nature of the programme contributes to bringing citizens together and highlighting the European dimension of cultural heritage in the 50 signatory States of the European Cultural Convention. Up to 70,000 events are organised each year in order to help raise awareness of the value of this common heritage and the need for its conservation for present and future generations.
PODGORICA: The kids feature film Planet 7693 by Gojko Berkuljan is currently shooting in Montenegro. The film is a coproduction between Montenegro, Serbia and North Macedonia, supported by the Film Centre of Montenegro, Film Center Serbia, the North Macedonia Film Agency, as well as the SEE Cinema Network.
LJUBLJANA: Several acclaimed Slovenian films will be screened at the Casa del cinema in Rome on 11-12 September 2021, as an appetizer for the focus on Slovenian cinema, which will be presented by the MedFilm Festival from 5 to 14 November 2021.
BELGRADE: More than 65 industry professionals from over 30 countries will participate in Beldocs Industry, which will be held in a hybrid format 9-15 September 2021 within the14th Beldocs International Documentary Film Festival.
Beldocs Industry this year offers a wide range of industry activities accessible and available both on site in Belgrade and online lasting from 9 until 15 September. More than 65 industry professionals - sales agents and distributors, festival representatives, VOD platforms and TV broadcasters, representatives of film centres and markets, from more than 30 countries will be joining the hybrid industry event. They will be attending industry panels and talks, pitching sessions followed by one-to-one meetings and matchmaking and networking sessions.
The Casa del cinema – or Cinema House – is the central film theatre in Rome, located in Villa Borghese at the address named after the famous Italian actor Marcello Mastroianni.

RIGA: The 8th Riga IFF has announced the titles selected for the Feature Film Competition. The festival will take place in person and online from 14 to 24 October 2021.
VILNIUS: The 9th Baltic Pitching Forum (BPF) will take place in person 7-9 October 2021. Selected participants from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania will be joined by Swedish fellow participants, as Sweden is the guest country this year.
