BUDAPEST: HBO Europe (www.hbo-europe.com) announced the appointment of Will Harrison to the new position of Chief Operating Officer.

TALLINN: The opening ceremony of 16th Black Night FF (www.poff.ee) presented awards in four competition sections of the Sleepwalkers Student and Short Film Festival (www.swff.ee) including the Estonian national competition prize going to Vaba Maa (Free World) directed by Anna Hints.

LJUBLJANA: Clip, a Serbian drama directed by Maja Milos about a teenage girl who videotapes her life on her mobile phone, took the Kingfisher Award as the best film at the 23rd Ljubljana IFF (www.liffe.si) at the closing ceremony on 17 November 2012.

Sleepwalkers Student and Short Film Festival in Tallinn, Estonia finished it's main programme today with the announcement of its award winners for 2012. The festival dedicated to featuring some of the best short films from across the world welcomed two international juries to choose winners from four exciting and diverse competitions.

TALLINN: Sleepwalkers Student and Short Film Festival (www.swff.ee 12-15 November 2012) has announced its award winners for 2012.

PRAGUE: Documentary films and projects from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Georgia, and Slovenia are among the 14 titles that the Institute of Documentary Film is sending to the 2012 edition of IDFA in Amsterdam.

The Countdown is on for the 16th Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival and the largest film event in Northern Europe is to open with Leos Carax’s Holy Motors. The two week film festival will be topped by an Asian filmmakers’ tour de force at the Industry Days.

ANKARA: The 18th Festival on Wheels (www.festivalonwheels.org), 30 November – 10 December 2012, unveiled nine outstanding films that will screen in the Turkish Cinema 2012 section.
