PODGORICA: Amerissa Basta’s debut feature Life in a Beat has wrapped shooting in Athens, Greece. The film is a coproduction between Greece, North Macedonia, Cyprus and Montenegro.

WARSAW: Eight among the 33 projects pitched during the 7th edition of the Young Horizons Industry co-production forum in Warsaw received awards at a ceremony hosted by Maciej Jakubczyk, Department Director of Young Horizons, and Viola Gabrielli, Head of Young Horizons Industry Programme.

TALLINN: Thirteen new films from Serbia and South-East Europe will screen at the 27th edition of the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival’s (PÖFF). Also, a focus on the Yugoslavian Black Wave cinema from the 1960s–1970s will have a major role in the festival’s retrospective programme.

On 6 October, at the awards ceremony hosted by Maciej Jakubczyk, Department Director of Young Horizons, and Viola Gabrielli, Head of Young Horizons Industry Programme, the winners of the 7th international co-production forum Young Horizons Industry were announced. The awarded projects were selected from 33 titles presented during two days of pitching.

Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival’s (PÖFF) 27th edition will set a focus on Serbia and SEE* (South-Eastern European) cinema, as the festival screens 13 new films from the region in vast all programme lines. The SEE countries include Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro and North Macedonia. Meanwhile, the intriguing Yugoslavian Black Wave cinema from the 1960s–1970s will have a major role in this year's retrospective  programme.

WROCŁAW: European film festivals' SMART7 has announced its first two workshops on 5 and 6 December 2023 in Wrocław, Poland. The workshops are open to festival organisers across Europe.

SMART7, a network of like-minded European film festivals supported by Creative Europe MEDIA, will host its first workshops on 5 and 6 of December, in Poland. They are open to all festival organizers across Europe.

The Czech Film Fund announced new feature film production grants on 6 October 2023 and documentary production grants on 6 September 2023.
