KRAKOW: Twenty international films will compete in the documentary feature film competition of the 53rd Krakow Film Festival, 26 May – 2 June 2013, vying for the Golden Horn.
BUCHAREST: Films from twelve young directors will have been chosen for the main competition of the 12th Transilvania International Film Festival, running 31 May– 9 June in Cluj.

Festivals 30-04-2013Krakow, 30th April 2013 – The organizers of the Krakow Film Festiwal have revealed the results of the selection for this year’s last competition – feature-lenght documentaries. Twenty films will compete for the Golden Horn.
PRAGUE: Advertiser’s refusal of increased advertising rates in the Czech Republic drove another quarter of continued losses for Central European Media Enterprises (CME). The Czech Republic accounted for 20 m USD of the company’s 30 m USD quarter on quarter decline.
With the beginning of April starts the film submission to the 4th edition of the International Festival of Film Producers REGIOFUN and it will last till June 31st. REGIOFUN is the only festival in Europe that awards producers. It also joins the regions and funds according to the perspective subordinated to the producers. The prize is € 25 000.
The beginning of the 12th annual International Festival of Animated film Anifest begins this Friday 26th. The whole event starts at 8:30 a.m. with the series of the new Czech bedtime stories and Slovak fairy tales. The official beginning is scheduled on the same day at 19:30 in the Concert hall in DK Teplice, where all celebrities, including the president - the British animator and producer Gerald Potterton, are going to be present.
WROCLAW: DOK.Incubator workshop has announced the feature documentaries in the rough cut stage that have been selected for the three-part which begins in Wroclaw in June.
VILNIUS: The Government of the Republic of Lithuania has approved the proposed changes to the Law on Corporate tax. The amended tax scheme would offer a tax relief to companies wishing to invest in Lithuanian film production. It is hoped that the new scheme will be approved by the Lithuanian Parliament already this spring.
