First Cut Lab Poland at 20. New Horizons IFF in the frame of Polish Days industry event
Festivals 02-04-2020First Cut Lab Poland is a programme designed for two or three Polish long feature fiction films in editing phase, supported by the Polish Film Institute. This year workshop will take place from 24 - 27 July 2020 in Wrocław during New Horizons International Film Festival in the frame of the industry event Polish Days.
As the film industry's most important event, the very word "Cannes" electrifies filmmakers all around the world. And little has changed in these difficult times - we still expect cinematic revelations to premiere there.
The first step on the way to greatness may be Marché du Film, the largest film fair in Cannes, taking place online this year.

President of Germany Steinmeier meets CICAE President Christian Bräuer
The President of Germany and his wife Elke Büdenbender met with CICAE president Christian Bräuer in Berlin. The meeting took place at the initiative of the President on June 9 at the Kino International. Also present was film director Andreas Dresen.
The head of state took an hour and a half to talk about the concerns and challenges facing the industry. As he is passionate about cinema and culture, he took a stand right at the beginning of the Corona pandemic and pointed out the situation of artists and cultural infrastructure. He also expressed on this occasion that he believes that culture is food in a literal sense.
The Thessaloniki International Film Festival has already begun planning for its 61st edition. The Festival’s team is in constant collaboration with the medical authorities, the Ministry of Culture and Sports, the City of Thessaloniki and the Region of Central Macedonia, monitors the COVID-19 situation and is preparing for three scenarios.
Slovak Film Institute in cooperation with the Slovak Association of Animated Film Producers is taking part in Marché international du film d'animation d'Annecy (Mifa) (15 – 30 June 2020) to serve as an information and promotion point for film professionals interested in Slovak animated film and audiovisual industry.
PULA: The Pula Film Festival will be one of the first festivals in the CEE region to take place in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis. This year’s festival dates are still 18 – 26 July 2020, as previously announced.
