The 4th Kaunas International Film Festival will introduce its visitors to a number of worldwide critically acclaimed films. This October, audiences in Kaunas and Vilnius will have an opportunity to see films that have won the recognition of major film events, including the Cannes and Venice film festivals, namely Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives (dir. Apichatpong Weerasethakul), Lebanon (dir. Samuel Maoz), Adrienn Pál (dir. Ágnes Kocsis), Heartbeats (dir. Xavier Dolan).

ScripTeast will host Scott Alexander, an author of Golden Globe awarded "The People vs. Larry Flynt" and "Ed Wood" with two Oscars!

ANOTHER FESTIVAL OF THE POLISH-SWEDISH DEBUT OF AGNIESZKA ŁUKASIAK. EUROPEAN PREMIERE OF "BETWEEN TWO FIRES" AT WARSAW FILM FESTIVAL

The ICFF Manaki Brothers and the ManakiFilm film distributors, have the exquisite pleasure to announce that, after the world premiere at the jubilee 35th Toronto International Film Festival - as part of the prestigious Special Presentations Program, the Macedonian film MOTHERS, the latest achievement of writer and director Milcho MANCHEVSKI, will open the 31st edition of the ICFF Manaki Brothers - Bitola.

There will be several, brand new TVP's productions soon presented in the competition of the forthcoming 62nd edition of the prestigious Prix Italia TV Festival in Torino. The "Tail Operation" by Ewa Pytka will be shown in the "TV fiction" category, and two documentary films in other categories: "Lech Majewski - the World According to Bruegel" by Dagmara Drzazga and "My Father, the Iron Curtain and Me" by Krzysztof Rzączyński. Two more documentaries will take part in the Prix Italia Special competition: "Warsaw Available" by Karolina Bielawska, Julia Ruszkiewicz and "An American in the Communist Poland" by Piotr Morawski, Ryszard Kaczyński.

One of the most recognized Slovenian filmmakers Damjan Kozole is coming to Poland to develop his project "NIGHTLIFE" within 5th edition of ScripTeast.

ISTANBUL EXPRESS, The biggest filmmaking workshop ever organised by the NISI MASA young cinema network will launch next Monday, the 20th of September in Tallinn (Estonia), San Sebastian (Spain) and Turin (Italy).

The documentary competition will present an eclectic selection of ten films, many of them being multi-awarded. ‘DOCS' will open with Cannes' winner Armadillo and close with the humorous success story The World according to Ion B. The jury will be composed of filmmakers Marko Skop and Massoud Bakhshi, and producer Meike Martens.

The GRAND OFF World Independent Film Awards has announced the nominated short films that will vie for awards at a glittering ceremony to be held on Saturday 27th November in Warsaw, Poland. Representing some of the very best independent shorts from across the world, 52 films from 32 countries will compete in 9 categories that include Best Fiction, Best Documentary and Best Animation. The aim of GRAND OFF is to draw attention to some of the very best films made by independent filmmakers whilst honouring their work, talent and dedication.
