Some 200 film professionals are expected to attend the third CentEast Market, a specialised market for films from Central and Eastern Europe to be held during the 22nd Warsaw International Film Festival.

The Third International Eurasia Film Festival, under the auspices of the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, will host British actress Miranda Richardson and Nicholas Roeg during the Turkish premiere of Puffball by the legendary British director.

The Slovenian Film Festival, which opened Sunday for its 10th year, is featuring two new sections designed to extend the festival's horizons beyond domestic borders in advance of Slovenia's presidency of the European Union next year.

Czech film distributor Bontonfilm (www.bontonfilm.cz) reported net profit of 32.7 million crowns (euro 1.2 million) in 2006, reversing a 38.2 million crown loss from the previous year.

More than 80 titles will be screened at the 3rd International Eurasia Film Festival, which is the gateway to the 44th Antalya Film Festival in Turkey. Awards of $75,000 and $25,000 will be granted in the "Best Film" and "Best Director" categories respectively.

The second edition of ScripTeast, an innovative training program for budding scriptwriters designed to help promote their work in the international film market, will be held next week at the Ossoliński Palace in the Polish town of Sterdyń.

Actors Morgan Freeman and Antonio Banderas will come to Bulgaria in mid-October to shoot “The Code,” a crime thriller about two jewel thieves directed by Mimi Leder.
