Only a few days left to submit narrative feature films and documentary films to the 29th edition of EnergaCAMERIMAGE, the International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography. The deadline is Wednesday, 30th June 2021.

The deadline for other categories (music videos, TV episodes, student etudes) is 31st July 2021.

The 14th Fest Anča has something for everyone, with so much more than animated films such  as great music and an accompanying programme that includes concerts, parties, lectures, and  even readings. Concerts (which will only stay online for 24 hours after performance) and  discussions will be freely available on Fest Anča’s Facebook page. DJ sets will be streamed on  Twitch. 

STRASBOURG: A total of 21 projects from FNE partner countries, including 11 majority coproductions, are among the 49 projects that received coproduction support at the 63rd meeting (held online) of the Board of Management of the Council of Europe's Eurimages. The total amount of funding is 10,816,000 EUR.

BUCHAREST: Cultural, artistic and entertainment open-air activities will be allowed in Romania for a maximum of 2,500 persons starting 1 July 2021. The number of people allowed during outdoor cultural activities has increased from 1,000 to 2,500.

In collaboration with the organizers of the Veszprém-Balaton 2023 – European Capital of Culture programme, the National Film Institute has refashioned the top event of Hungarian cinema this year: the domestic celebration previously held in Budapest under the name of Hungarian Film Week gets combined with a summer feeling and is planned to advance to the top meeting point for the industry and audiences in the Veszprém-Balaton region.

CLUJ-NAPOCA: Twelve feature films, eight long documentaries and 13 short films will screen in the Romanian Days selection of the 20th Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF). Romania is the star of the anniversary edition with 45 titles in various sections of the festival that will screen more than 170 films from 23 July to 1 August 2021.

BUDAPEST: The action/adventure/fantasy Brahmastra directed by Ayan Mukerji and starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, is set to resume shooting in Hungary sometime after August 2021, when the travel restrictions for arrivals from India are expected to be lifted.

VALLETTA: Luzzu by Alex Camilleri has been sold by Memento International to Kino Lorber for North American distribution.

Romanian Cinema is the star of the 20th edition of the Transilvania International Film Festival (July 23-August 1, Cluj-Napoca). Committed more than ever to its mission to promote and support Romanian cinema, the festival includes in this year’s program an impressive selection of 45 Romanian productions — 32 features and 13 shorts. 13 feature films will have their World Premiere in the festival, mostly directed by newcomers ready to be discovered by the audience, as well as the film industry. The overall selection of the 20th edition comprises more than 170 titles.
