TALLINN: Viaplay’s TV series Bullshit, produced by Nordisk Film Creative Alliance from Denmark in partnership with Estonia’s Nafta Film will have its premiere in 2023. The series is supported by Film Estonia’s cash rebate.

The results of the third Eurimages Project Evaluation Session of 2022 have just been announced. Further to recommendations made by independent experts meeting online, the Executive Committee of the Fund has decided to support 24 feature films, including 4 documentary and 3 animation features, for a total amount of €6.707.000.

STRASBOURG: Eleven majority and minority coproductions from FNE partner countries are among the 24 projects receiving Eurimages coproduction support on 5 December 2022.

BERLIN: Creative Europa - MEDIA has withdrawn its support for the international training course of the International Arthouse Cinema Association (CICAE) for 2023 – 2025, thus making it impossible to continue.

BELGRADE: The Serbian/Croatian coproduction Have You Seen This Woman? directed by Dušan Zorić and Matija Gluscevic won Best Film Award at the 28th edition of the Auteur Film Festival, held in Belgrade 25 November – 2 December 2022.

LJUBLJANA: Estonian Sander Joon’s short animated film Sierra was awarded the Jury Grand Prix as well as the Audience Award at the 19th edition of Animateka Animated International Film Festival, which took place in Ljubljana 28 November – 4 December 2022.

Since 2004 the International Arthouse Cinema Association CICAE has established an international training course for young cinema professionals from Europe and many other countries to strengthen and build their skills, develop new ideas and create new business models for the cinema of the future in an ever-changing media world.

BAR: The cinema of the House of Culture in Bar, which functions as part of the Bar Cultural Centre – Homeland Museum, is a new member of the Europa Cinemas network and the only Montenegrin cinema taking part in the Month of European Film Programme (13 November – 10 December 2022).

VALLETTA: Eden Cinemas will open two more cinemas in Malta in mid-December 2022, thus reaching nine cinemas and over 2,000 seats.

NICOSIA: The Deputy Ministry of Culture of Cyprus and the Rialto Theatre have launched the call for submissions for feature films in the two Competition Sections of the 21st Cyprus Film Days (21 - 29 April 2023). The deadline for submissions is 20 December 2022.
