TRIESTE: When East Meets West has announced the lineup for Last Stop Trieste, This is IT and First Cut+ at its 13th edition, which will take place 22-25 January 2023 within the Trieste Film Festival (21 – 28 January 2023).

PRAGUE: Long documentaries in rough cut stage are invited to apply to the dok.incubator workshop 2023. The applications’ deadline for the eight-month programme focused on editing, marketing and distribution is 26 January 2023.

The Visegrad Film Forum has announced the names of the first two confirmed guests at the event’s upcoming 10th edition. This year, as in years past, accomplished industry professionals, who have collaborated with such eminent directors as Jim Jarmusch and Roman Polanski, will be coming to Bratislava to share their experience and expertise in informal lectures. The decennial edition of the Visegrad Film Forum will be held on 15–18 March at the Film and Television School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava as well as in Bratislava movie theatres.

With the beginning of new year, the dok.incubator workshop is once again looking for ambitious feature-length documentaries in rough cut stage to take part in the eight-month international program focused on editing, marketing and distribution strategy. Submit your application before January 26!

Trieste, January 11th, 2023 – The 13th edition of When East Meets West kicks off in less than two weeks, on January 22, finally bringing back to Trieste over 450 film professionals from more than 50 different countries. 

The grants were announced by the North Macedonia Film Agency on 27 December 2022.

WARSAW: The new Czech/Slovak series The Winner directed by Jan Hřebejk and Polish series Warszawianka by Jacek Borcuch, as well as other titles from FNE partner countries, are among 21 European series whose exclusive European rights have been acquired by SkyShowtime from Warner Bros. Discovery. All the shows will be available to SkyShowtime subscribers across all of its 22 markets.

WARSAW: The New Horizons International Film Festival from Wrocław (Poland), Transilvania IFF from Cluj-Napoca (Romania) and Vilnius IFF Kino Pavasaris from Vilnius (Lithuania) have launched the cooperation network SMART7 together with IndieLisboa IFF, FILMADRID IFF and Thessaloniki IFF.

TRIESTE: Projects from Georgia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Lithuania, North Macedonia and Serbia are among the 22 projects selected for the 13th edition of When East Meets West, the Italian Co-Production Forum taking place 22-25 January 2023 within the Trieste Film Festival (21 – 28 January 2023).
