The second edition of 3D Film Mart took place on 4 & 5 December 2012 in Liège (Belgium) and was a success. More than 100 people attended the Market, nearly double the numbers anticipated! Producers, researchers, distributors, and investors from all over the world met there in order to do business in 3D.

At the beginning of the new year two festival highlights shouldn't be missed! At the end of January FilmFestival Cottbus will present as a partner screening this year's main prize winner WOMEN'S DAY at the 34th Filmfestival Max Ophüls Preis (January 21-27) in Saarbrücken.

22 projects selected for participation in the Trieste forum dedicated to co-productions with Eastern European countries

 Trieste, December 20, 2012 – A total of 22 international projects from 11 countries will participate in the third edition of the Trieste-based co-production forum When East Meets West, one of the important platforms for successful co-productions between Western and Eastern Europe. WEMW’s 2013 roster will include 12 fiction and 10 documentary features.

Now that scouting trips to find films for the Panorama have been concluded, viewings in Berlin are in full swing. “A third of the programme has already been selected,” reports Panorama director Wieland Speck. “Alongside works by European filmmakers, such as Lars Kraume and Felix van Groeningen, films from Asia – and especially from Korea – have made a deep impression.

With 146 applications coming from 46 different countries, we are delighted to announce the participants for the EAVE 2013 European Producers Workshop: 51 promising producers from 32 countries have finally been selected for 2013. Out of the selected producers, 33 are bringing a project to EAVE (of which 5 documentaries).

MOSCOW: More than 20 films in production and post-production from Belarus, Bulgaria, Hungary, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine and Croatia will be presented to international film professionals during Red Square Screenings, taking place 15-20 October 2012.

COTTBUS: The East European pitching forum connecting cottbus (www.connecting-cottbus.de) takes on the topic of Eurimages’s revised distribution support programme during its two-day presentation, 8-9 November 2012.

COTTBUS: Six films are competing for a 1,500 EUR prize in the third U-18 German-Polish Youth Film Competition of new films from German and Poland as part of the Cottbus Film Festival (www.filmfestivalcottbus.de) running through 11 November 2012.

The 9th edition of the JEWISH MOTIFS INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL will take place on 24-28 April, 2013.

The JEWISH MOTIFS INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL is one of the biggest European festivals focused on Jewish themes in contemporary cinematography.

Work on projects continues at the ArtDocFest ADA Pitching, at the Hudozhestvennyi Cinema, in Moscow. The two days long training is intended to prepare participants’ film projects to be presented during the pitching scheduled for December 13th.
