East Silver is the first documentary market dedicated exclusively to Central and Eastern Europe. Its main goal is to provide an annual overview of new documentary releases, and to create a comprehensive catalogue and a digitized video library, accessible to a broad circle of film professionals - broadcasters, major film festivals, sales agents - throughout the year.
We are now opening submission call for the upcoming East Silver Videolibrary, held within East Doc Platform, organized by the Institute of Documentary Film (IDF) in Prague, Czech Republic, in March, 5 – 10, 2013, in association with the One World International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival. Films selected for East Silver Videolibrary will be included also in the 10th East Silver Market edition, annually held on the backdrop of the 17th Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival in October 23 – 28, 2013, Jihlava, Czech Republic.

Ploiesti is the 12th Romanian city with a Cinema City multiplex
Yesterday Cinema City celebrated the gala opening of its multiplex in Ploiesti, Romania. The cinema will start operations on December 7. The cinema in Ploiesti has 12 halls with 2089 seats and it is 100% digital with maximum capacity for 3D projection. This is the 2nd CCI's cinema opened this year in Romania - in April 2012, Cinema City opened its multiplex with 8 halls and 1774 seats in the city of Constanta. The new cinema in Ploiesti is the first modern multiplex in the city.
WARSAW: Film Spring Open (www.filmspringopen.eu/previs.html), a new system for creating "previsualizations" (or Previs) for feature proposals, is hoped to boost both the prospects of indie filmmakers and the number of productions completed in the future.
