RIGA: Latvian director Māris Martinsons has started production on In the Land that Sings (working title) / Zeme, kas dzied. The historical drama is set in the second half of the 19th century, when the first Latvian Song Festival took place. The initial shooting period ran from 9 to 20 March in Riga and Ramava. The next shooting period is planned for January and the summer of 2022. The film is produced by Linda Krūkle for K Films.

The award-winning Norwegian actress and TV director Cecilie Mosli (Emmy-winning Mammon and the TV series Thin Ice) will start shooting her feature film debut Three Wishes for Cinderella / Trys riešutėliai pelenei in Lithuania on 24 March 2021. The Norwegian/Lithuanian coproduction is made in partnership with Lithuanian producer Ramūnas Škikas of the production company Ahil.

BUDAPEST: Hungarian director Dániel Tiszeker is filming Christmas Flame / Nagykarácsony, a classical love story between a cynical firefighter Arnold and a disorganised director of a school performance. The shooting began on 29 December 2020.
