BRATISLAVA: The acclaimed Slovak director Jaro Vojtek is currently in postproduction with documentaries 7 Days / 7 dní and Earthly Paradise / Raj na Zemi (working titles). Both of them are set to premiere in the autumn of 2019 and both are supported by the Slovak Audiovisual Fund.

WARSAW: The documentary Freely, Mostafa Derkaoui / Librement, Mostafa Derkaoui by Sophie Delvallée, a coproduction between France, Morocco and Poland, is in its final stage of postproduction.

WARSAW: The shoot for the third season of the crime drama series The Pack / Wataha starring Leszek Lichota will start in Bieszczady on 17 February 2019. The previous seasons of the show are available on HBO services in over 20 countries.

ZAGREB: Ivona Juka will start shooting her sophomore feature in the autumn of 2019. Maslenica 93 will be the first Croatian feature to deal with the operation launched in January 1993 by the Croatian military offensive to get back territories in northern Dalmatia and Lika from Serb forces.

WARSAW: The acclaimed Polish director Jan Komasa finished shooting Suicide Room. Hater, a new cyber thriller and a sequel to his box office feature debut Suicide Room. The film will be released in the second half of 2019.

BELGRADE: The acclaimed Serbian director Goran Radovanović is in final stages of production with The Makavejev Case or Trial in a Movie Theater, a documentary on the revered Yugoslav and Serbian film author Dušan Makavejev. The film is expected to be released in the first half of 2019.

VILNIUS: The acclaimed Lithuanian director Šarūnas Bartas is currently shooting a new historical drama In The Dusk / Sutemose, focusing on the Lithuanian partisan war, which took place after WWII. The release of this Lithuanian/French/Serbian/Latvian/Czech/Portuguese coproduction is planned for the spring of 2020.

BRATISLAVA: Experienced Slovak documentary filmmaker Robert Kirchhoff deals once again with the complicated political history of the region and in the Slovak/Czech coproduction All Men Become Brothers / Všetci ľudia budú bratia he focuses on Alexander Dubček, leader of the Prague Spring 1968 and chairman of the Parliament after the Velvet Revolution. This documentary is currently entering the second phase of shooting and it should be finished by the end of 2019.

BRATISLAVA: Slovak director Jonáš Karásek wrapped shooting on his second feature film Amnesty / Amnestie focusing on the turbulent period around and right after the Velvet Revolution. This Slovak/Czech coproduction produced and co-written by Maroš Hečko is expected to be released in November 2019, on the 30th anniversary of the revolution.

BELGRADE: Stefan Arsenijević started shooting his long-awaited new feature Strahinja as a coproduction between Serbia, France, Luxembourg and Bulgaria in early November 2018. His debut feature Love and Other Crimes / Ljubav i drugi zločini, produced by Art & Popcorn, premiered in Berlin Film Festival's official programme in 2008.

TALLINN: Legendary Estonian film director Hardi Volmer is in post-production with a feature film about the first Estonian filmmaker, The Real Life of Johannes Pääsuke / Johannes Pääsukese tõeline elu, who lived in the first half of the 20th century. Pääsuke filmed a documentary in the most southern part of Estonia, Setomaa, in 1913.

KATOWICE: World-renowned Polish film director Lech Majewski is working on his new drama Brigitte Bardot the Wonderful, based on his novel of the same title. The release is planned for 2020.

ZAGREB: Stanislav Tomic is in development/early preproduction with action comedy Tune-up / Po tamburi. The film is set to be a coproduction between Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia and Slovenia, and it has already received support from the Croatian Audiovisual Centre.

TALLINN: Estonian director Vallo Toomla is currently filming a portrait documentary under the working-title Marju Lepajõe. Words of the Days / Marju Lepajõe. Päevade sõnad, which will premiere in 2019.

LJUBLJANA: Corporation, the second feature film from director Matej Nahtigal, began filming on 9 November 2018. A 30-day shooting schedule is planned, ending on 23 December.

PRAGUE: The popular Czech actor-turned-director Jiri Madl is completing his second film On the Roof to debut in 2019, a year after originally scheduled.
