PRODUCTION: Vanishing Waves filming in Lithuania
Rising young Lithuanian director Kristina Buožytė is currently working on her second feature film, Vanishing Waves (Aurora). Buožytė‘s first feature, The Collectress, won the Lithuanian national cinema award "Silver Crane" as Best Lithuanian Feature in 2008 and the Best Director Award at the Russian Film Festival Kinoshock (2008) and participated in more than 30 international film festivals.

The Voice, about a girl who hears voices inside her head, is one of the several Turkish parapsychological horror films. The script was written by noted film critic Uygar Sirin and directed by acclaimed arthouse filmmaker Umit Unal who is also known as the scriptwriter of Istanbul Tales.

There, directed by Melik Saracoglu and Hakki Kurtulus, is a drama about a father and his two estranged sons who reunite following the death of their mother. The film was released in Turkey on 26 January, 2009, taking in box office of 20,000 Turkish Liras.

Director/writer/producer Semih Kaplanoglu scored an international success with his film Honey, winner of the Golden Bear when it premiered at the 2010 Berlinale. It opened in Turkey on 9 April, 2010.
PRODUCTION: At My Father's Home in development
Andrei Cohn is in development with his first feature, At My Father's Home, "the story of a young man put to a test by his girlfriend, who goes back to his home village where he meets his best friend and his highschool sweetheart. Everybody thinks he is somebody, but he is not," the producer Giuliano Doman told FNE.
PRODUCTION: Fimfarum 3 goes into post-production
The latest installment of the popular Czech animated film series, Fimfarum 3, has completed production work on all three of its sequences and is headed into a demanding post-production phase at the end of September. Producer Martin Vandas of production Maurfilm company (www.maurfilm.com) announced that the film will be ready in time for a February 10, 2011 release date.

PRODUCTION: Hrebejk's Innocence films in Prague
Czech director Jan Hrebejk currently shootinging Innocence, a crime psychdrama written by his longtime collaborator Petr Jarchovsky. Filming, taking place in Prague, will continue through October 10, with a January 20, 2011, release date planned.
PRODUCTION: The Japanese Dog in development
BUCHAREST: Romanian director Tudor Jurgiu is in development on his first feature, The Japanese Dog (Câinele japonez), about an old man, Costache Moldu, who tries to connect with his estranged son after a flood has swept away his wife and house. The script, by Ioan Antoci won the HBO Romania script contest in 2008 and the Krzysztof Kieslowski ScripTeast Award (www.scripteast.pl ) in 2009.

WARSAW: Janusz Zaorski had just ended the first part of principal photography for Polish Sibiriad (Syberiada Polska), about a dark episode in the Polish history - the fate of Poles who were deported by the Soviet NKVD to Siberia in 1940.
