BUCHAREST: Iura Luncașu is currently shooting Sweet Little Lies @ Downtown / Minte-mă frumos @ Centrul Vechi, a sequel to the romantic comedy Sweet Little Lies / Minte-mă frumos, which was a hit in the domestic cinemas in 2012.

RIGA: Award-winning director Dāvis Sīmanis is in postproduction with the feature My Peaceful Place of Exile / Pelnu sanatorija. The story of this Latvian/Lithuanian coproduction is set in the final year of WWI.

WARSAW: Jan P. Matuszyński started shooting Last Family, focusing on the relationship between the legendary painter Zdzisław Beksiński and his son, on 28 September 2015.

SOFIA: Konstantin Bojanov’s first English-language film, I Want to be Like You, wrapped the Bulgarian shooting and is currently shooting in Belgium until 12 October 2015.

ZAGREB: Nicole van Kilsdonk’s children film When My Father Became a Bush has started shooting in Zagreb. This Dutch-Croatian-Belgian coproduction will spend approximately 655,500 EUR / 5 m HRK in Croatia. 

PRAGUE: Chinese TV series The Last Visa directed by Hua Quing is currently shooting in the Czech city of Liberec which is standing in for Vienna. The series will contain eight two-hour parts made as independent feature films. 

ZAGREB: Rajko Grlić’s The Croatian Constitution started shooting in Zagreb on 21 September 2015.

SOFIA: Konstantin Bojanov 's new feature I Want to Be Like You, a Bulgarian / British / Belgian coproduction started shooting in London last week.

PORTOROZ: Girls Don’t Cry, the second feature film by Matevž Luzar, is competing at the Slovenian Film Festival in Portoroz. The 18th edition of the festival takes place from 15 to 20 September 2015.

SOFIA: Bulgarian director Andrey Andonov’s debut feature, No One, is an independent project which is in postproduction will launch a crowd funding crowd campaign on Indiegogo this month to complete its final phase.

BUDAPEST: Hungary’s Laszlo Kantor’s Új Budapest Filmstúdió, one of Hungary’s most active producers and European coproducers has unveiled to FNE a slate of new productions and European coproductions.  

PORTOROZ: Matej Nahtigal’s debut feature, the crime drama Case: Osterberg, is competing at the Slovenian Film Festival in Portoroz. The 18th edition of the festival which annually showcases new Slovenian productions takes place from 15 to 20 September 2015.

BUCHAREST: Costa Fam wrapped shooting for Brutus, the second part of his war trilogy Witnesses, with Alien Film providing services. The 90-minute trilogy will be released in 2016.

SOFIA: The Belgian/Dutch/Bulgarian dramatic comedy Kebab Royal by Jessica Woodworth and Peter Brosens entered postproduction.

WARSAW: Marcin Krzyształowicz is working on Krakau, a WWII crime series set in 1944 Berlin and occupied Warsaw.

KRAKOW: Janusz Hryniak is directing a drama about the life and work of internationally renowned Polish theatre director Taduesz Kantor, with Borys Szyc in the lead role.
