The winners of the 23rd edition of the Transilvania International Film Festival were announced Saturday evening during the Closing Gala at the National Theatre in Cluj-Napoca. The Transilvania Trophy, worth €10,000, was awarded to To a Land Unknown (UK), an intense drama about two Palestinian refugees living in Athens, caught between petty scams and the hope of a better life in Germany. Amid a climate of despair and moral compromise, one of them spirals deeper into a cycle of manipulation and exploitation of those around him.

Women working in the audiovisual industries across the Baltic states are invited to apply for the fifth edition of the “Baltic Women in Film Mentorship” programme. This initiative is the only one of its kind in the region, specifically designed to support emerging talent across a range of film and audiovisual industry roles. The programme aims to foster professional growth, enhance competencies, and empower participants to develop new audiovisual projects. Organised by Lithuanian Short Film Agency “Lithuanian Shorts”, the upcoming edition will run from October 2025 to April 2026.

ZAGREB: The Croatian Audiovisual Centre (HAVC) has announced its new production grants for feature films, debut features, documentary, animated, short and experimental films, and minority coproductions, as well as its support for script and project development.

The following grants were announced by the Croatian Audiovisual Centre (HAVC) on 12 June 2025.

CLUJ-NAPOCA: France is taking part in the 24th edition of the Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF, 13 – 22 June 2025) with films in several programmes, professionals in juries and industry events, and also with the 12th edition of the Young Francophones Jury Competition.
