RIGA: The 25 Baltic Sea Forum for Documentaries will run in Riga and online from 1st to 12 September 2021. Eighteen film projects from 17 countries will be presented at the training and pitching forum.

This year’s special guest of the 55th Karlovy Vary IFF will be British actor and winner of two Oscars, the European Film Awards, and more than forty other commendations Sir Michael Caine. At the festival’s opening ceremony, Caine will be presented with a Crystal Globe for Outstanding Artistic Contribution to World Cinema.

Press releases 11-08-2021Exactly one week from today, on Wednesday 18 August, the halls of Český Šternberk Castle will open to visitors of the Noir Film Festival. The first screening of the 9th edition of the event, which regularly brings a few days of chilling film dramas, detective stories and thrillers every August, will begin at 4 pm. Until Sunday, 22 August, the Noir Film Festival will show five dozen films from the USA, Czechoslovakia and India.
The best Central and East European documentary film in post-production deals with isolation
Eight outstanding documentaries from Central and Eastern Europe, planned for theatrical release during the upcoming 12 months – the Docu Talents from the East – were presented during the Cinelink Industry Days at the 27th Sarajevo Film Festival.
Projects from Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Russia, and Slovakia made it to the final selection of the 17th Docu Talents from the East 2021.
SIBIU: Eight long documentaries have been selected for the Emerging Voices of Documentary competition of the 28th edition of the International Documentary Film Festival - Astra Film Festival, which will take place in Sibiu, Romania, 5-12 September 2021.
TIMISOARA: The Competition programme is back in the selection of the 5th edition of the Central European Film Festival Timisoara, after a pause in 2020. Six feature films are competing for the trophy of the festival, which will be held 1-5 September 2021.
