Kids Kino Industry (formerly known as the Warsaw Kids Film Forum) is going to welcome industry representatives on 29.09–02.10 to join the extended programme performed fully online. The decision to move the event online was based on the uncertainty of the COVID-19 situation as well as on talks with industry members who are mostly unwilling to travel in the following months.
The second session this year of First Cut+ just ended successfully.
The workshop, with four days of consultations with various film industry experts for the eight selected producers and filmmakers, took place online due to the pandemic.
First Cut+ work-in-progress session, created for connecting the eight projects with cinema’s industry decision makers, was hosted as part of Karlovy Vary Eastern Promises industry days from the 6th to the 8th of July and had more then 150 professionals attending the streaming presentation.
Richer than ever in premieres, the Romanian film program of the 19th Transilvania International Film Festival includes a record 21 features and 16 shorts which will screen in the presence of filmmakers in Cluj-Napoca between July 31 and August 9. 15 of these will have their Romanian premieres, while 7 will have their world premieres in the Romanian Days section.

Even though the New Horizons IFF, that usually is a frame for Polish Days, has been moved to November 2020, Polish filmmakers will have a chance to take part in July events thanks to its online formula.

The European Genre Forum EGF, taking place for 6th time this year, has selected eight projects to attend two talent labs in 2020.
The eight projects are invited to attend two talent labs in 2020, the first one, The Producing Lab takes place at Fantastic Zagreb, July 16 -19, 2020. The mentors in Zagreb coaching the teams include the CEO of P1 Kemppinen Petri Kemppinen (former CEO of Nordisk Film & TV Fond) and international script consultant, screenwriter and trainer Simona Nobile.
CLUJ-NAPOCA: The Romanian Days selection at the 19th edition of the Transilvania IFF (TIFF) is richer than ever and will showcase 21 long and 16 short films, with seven world premieres and 16 national premieres. The festival will run from 31 July to 9 August 2020.
PRODUCTION: Hungarian/Slovak Coproduction Wild Roots Wins Works in Progress TRT Award of Karlovy Vary Industry Days
Slovakia 10-07-2020BRATISLAVA: MPhilms is coproducing the Hungarian/Slovak debut film Wild Roots by Hajni Kis. The film, which is supported by the Slovak Audiovisual Fund, won the Works in Progress TRT Award of Karlovy Vary Industry Days.
BELGRADE: Writer/director Ivan Ikić is completing postproduction on his sophomore feature The Users / Korisnici, a coproduction between Serbia, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and France. The film was presented at First Cut+ Works in Progress at Karlovy Vary Eastern Promises, 6-8 July 2020.
Submissions for East Silver Market will be accepted through 31 July 2020.
