ŽILINA: The 14th edition of Fest Anča will be held online from 1 to 4 July 2021, and the films will be available till 11 July 2021. Fest Anča will be the first Slovak festival to use the Festhome platform.

Riga International Film Festival launches its visual identity and announces the first films
Festivals 26-05-2021The eighth Riga International Film Festival (RIGA IFF) will take place on 14-24 October this year. The festival invites audiences and filmmakers to a carefully curated selection of exceptional and current films, and continues to enhance the northern European cultural space by developing an internationally recognised cinema event in Latvia.

TALLINN: Cinemas and theatres reopened in Estonia on 24 May 2021, as the country has been registering the lowest COVID-19 infection rates in the Baltic States for a month. Cinemas will work at 50 percent of their capacity.
WARSAW: Three projects from Poland and one each from Croatia, Lithuania and Hungary are among the nine projects selected from 85 submitted for the 2021 edition of the European training programme EKRAN+, aimed at creative preproduction of feature films.
PODGORICA: Film Centre of Montenegro has launched the web platform Film in Montenegro, aimed at promoting Montenegrin cinema and encouraging foreign film and TV productions to discover Montenegro as a new film destination.
PODGORICA: A new multifunctional studio of 1000 square metres has opened 8 km from Podgorica. The construction of the studio, owned by the Dragutinović company, took more than two years.
National Archives of Georgia to Create Bilingual Online Catalogue of Georgian Cinema
Georgia 25-05-2021TBILISI: The National Archives of Georgia is currently working on a bilingual online catalogue of Georgian cinema, which will use digitalised and restored archival collections.
VENICE: A total of 26 cinemas from FNE partner countries are involved in 27 Times Cinema, the initiative of Europa Cinemas, the LUX Audience Award and Venice’s Giornate degli Autori, which will chose 27 young filmgoers to constitute the Giornate degli Autori Jury (1-11 September 2021).
