BERLIN: FNE has teamed up with FIPRESCI critics attending the Berlin Film Festival to rate the films in the Main Competition, Perspectives and Forum giving the films 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 stars. 5 is the best and 1 is the worst. The ratings give an overview of critics' opinions from a large number of countries and provide insights to what critics in many different countries think about the programme.

RIGA: Gints Zilbalodis' Golden Globe-winner and Academy Award-nominee Flow has surpassed the 20 m USD mark at the global box office. The film was bought by Criterion Collection for a deluxe home video release later in 2025.

BERLIN: The executive directors of the Film Centre of Montenegro and the National Film Center of Moldova, Aleksandra Božović and Valentina Iusuphodjaev, respectively, have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation between their institutions at the European Film Market (EFM) in Berlin on 16 February 2025.

SIBIU: The ESTE FILM Festival, taking place in Sibiu, Romania, has launched an open call for the 3rd edition of LINE-UP: International Academy & Networking for Festival Managers, which will be held 29 – 30 May 2025 within the 9th  edition of the festival (28 May – 1 June 2025).

Today were announced the winners of the CICAE Arthouse Cinema Awards at the 75th Berlin International Film Festival. Recognizing exceptional artistry and storytelling in independent cinema, the CICAE Arthouse Cinema Awards are given at major international festivals by an international jury of arthouse cinema exhibitors and programmers, and aim at bringing high-quality films to the arthouse cinemas. The Jury is composed of arthouse cinema exhibitors and members of the association, who apply through our website to become part of this initiative. In the case of Berlinale, the festival hosts yearly two CICAE juries, one for the Panorama Section, and a second one for the Forum Section.
