Ascent 142 has completed the full post production on Collision, a three-part drama starring Douglas Henshall and Paul McGann, which tells the story of a major road accident and a how it irrevocably changes the lives of a group of strangers.

"Night Boats", a script from the 3rd edition of ScripTeast, written by Elvis Bosnjak and Igor Mirkovic (Croatia) qualified for Connecting Cottbus co-production market. Igor Mirkovic is also going to direct the film. The shooting is planned for the summer 2010 and the producers are Marina Andree and Darija Kulenovic Gudan of Studio Dim Zagreb. The project's received support from Croatian Audiovisual Center, which covers approximately 30% of the budget.

Get Low, an Aarona Schneider's film with cinematography by David Boyd an music composed by Jan A.P. Kaczmarek will open the 17th edition of the International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography PLUS CAMERIMAGE. The film produced by Dean Zanuck in coproduction with the Polish partners; TVN (Dariusz Gąsiorowski, Justyna Pawlak) and Konrad Wojterkowski. The producers, director and the cinematographer will be our special guests at the Opening Ceremony. Get Low is also the first film that has been selected for the Main Competition and is nominated to the Golden Frog 2009, the Grand Prix of this year's PLUS CAMERIMAGE.

The Bulgarian-German-Hungarian-Slovenian co-production is the Bulgarian submission for the Academy Award nominations for the Best Foreign Language Film and will be screened at the AFM.

European Film Promotion (EFP) is going to present three of the best young actors from across Europe selected as 2009 SHOOTING STARS with their latest films at the

European Film Forum Scanorama in Vilnius/Lithuania (November 5-7, 2009).

This section of the 17th International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography PLUS CAMERIMAGE will present recent Polish film productions selected from all the entries submitted this year. During the Festival, they will be judged by the members of the international Jury comprising internationally acclaimed film professionals. The cinematographer and director of the best movie will be awarded at the Closing Ceremony.
