POTSDAM: The Erich Pommer Institute (EPI) is organising an info session about its programme Audiovisual Women. The info session will be held online on 22 August 2024, 14:00 CEST and it is free of charge.

PODGORICA: The Montenegrin film This Good Country / Ova dobra zemlja directed by Vladimir Perović received the award for best film in the regional competition at the 15th Underhill Fest, international festival for documentary films, held in the Montenegrin capital city of Podgorica. The award for best film in the international competition went to The Eternal Memory (Chile, USA) by Maita Alberdi.

NOVI SAD: Ten projects have been selected for the 7th edition of the Circle Women Doc Accelerator training programme for women-identifying filmmakers. The selection includes documentaries from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Norway, Spain, Senegal, Taiwan, Germany, India, Iran, Jordan and China.

BUCHAREST: Nine Romanian companies were showcased through the umbrella A Romanian Showcase of Creative Entertainment at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity (17 – 21 June 2024).

BUCHAREST: Romania will launch the call for projects for the 30% cash rebate session 2024-2026 on 25 July 2024. After a break of three years and a half, the Government approved the last corrections on the cash rebate programme from the Government Decision 421/2018 on 21 June 2024.

CLUJ-NAPOCA: The Indian film Girls Will Be Girls by Shuchi Talati won the Transilvania Trophy at the 23rd edition of the Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF), held in Cluj-Napoca from 14 to 24 June 2024. The award for the most popular Romanian film went to The Moromete Family 3 / Moromeții 3 by Stere Gulea.

WARSAW: Young Horizons Industry, the international coproduction forum for films and series for young audiences, selected 11 films and 10 series for its 8th edition, which will be held in Warsaw 30 September – 2 October 2024. Almost 100 projects were submitted.
