EUROPEAN VOD MEETINGS

The European VoD Meetings, the only training course especially conceived for the Video on Demand industry, is kicking off today, September 1st in Venice. After the previous workshop set to take place in Sofia, Bulgaria in March this year was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, VoD professionals are back in Venice today and looking forward to these 4 days of panels, case studies and workshops.

The European VoD Meetings are organized by EuroVoD, in partnership with the International Venice Film Festival and Venice Production Bridge, gathering 30 participants from 11 nationalities and representing 25 companies.

For the first time and adapting to the current international circumstances, professionals who cannot attend the training in Venice are given the opportunity to access part of the sessions of the 4-day workshop through an online training package. Eighteen professionals already chose this option, bringing the total number of participants to 48 from 19 nationalities and representing 39 companies. The online training package is accessible until the 30th September, upon registration on our website: www.eurovod.org

For this edition, the programme will notably explore tech and marketing innovation for online services (Thinking Global, Acting Local: Building Audience Engagement) and focusing on intensive workshop sessions in order to define a roadmap for cooperation among European VoD services, that will be completed by a full day dedicated to access to finance, busines planning and management. The training will be accompanied by a communication and pitch coaching session, whereby 6 projects will be presented to the participants and to the mentors, in order to find potential partners and business opportunities.
