WARSAW: During the 31st Warsaw Film Festival (9-18 October), seven young critics will participate in the FIPRESCI Warsaw Critics Project, an initiative between WFF, FIPRESCI and Film New Europe. The young critics come from a range of backgrounds and from locations in Ukraine, Hungary, Lithuania, Russia and Poland.

ZAGREB: Croatian dramatic TV series Rest in Peace has been acquired by the Belgian Flemish Radio and Television (VRT). This is the first series developed by the Croatian Audiovisual Centre to be broadcast in Western Europe.

RIGA: Seven films will compete for the first time in the international competition of Riga International Film Festival (15-25 October 2015). It is a competition for films from countries connected by the Baltic Sea and there is no genre limit.

ZAGREB: Dalibor Matanić’s The High Sun was the most watched film of the past weekend in Croatian cinemas with admissions of 12,019.

BUCHAREST: White Carpathia, the fourth and final episode of the British TV series Wild Carpathia, will start shooting this week. Producer Charlie Ottley launched a crowdfunding campaing on Kickstarter.com hoping to get 67,387 EUR / 50,000 GBP by 30 September 2015 in order to cover the costs of shooting.
