WARSAW: Anne Fontaine's drama Agnus Dei will be released in Finland on 20 January 2017. The film, co-financed by the Polish Film Institute, had more than 720,000 admissions in France and was sold to almost 20 territories.

STRASBOURG: Poland is taking over the European Audiovisual Observatory's presidency from the Czech Republic as the Observatory is launching the celebrations of its 25th anniversary with a new logo.

TBILISI: House of Others, a debut film by Georgian director Rusudan Glurjidze, has been nominated for the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) award. The official ceremony will be held on 4 February 2017.

The European Audiovisual Observatory, part of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, has launched the celebrations of its 25th anniversary this year. Kicking off with a brand new logo, the Observatory’s reports on the audiovisual industries in Europe, website and databases will all be given a radical re-design in the course of this year.

ZAGREB: iOtok by Miho Čelar, an interactive documentary about the inhabitants of Croatia’s islands, will be broadcast on its own platform starting 16 January 2016. The project is developed by Slovenia’s Astral Film and Croatia’s Factum, in partnership with Italy’s Quasar Multimedia.

Five projects and two observers have been selected for Doc Tank 2017, which is part of East Doc Platform 2017, set to take place from 6 to 12 March 2017.

WARSAW: Behind The Blue Door / Za niebieskimi drzwiami by Mariusz Palej became the most successful Polish film for young viewers, with over 215,000 admissions. This adaptation of a Polish bestseller by Marcin Szczygielski is co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.
