WARSAW: French director Leila Ferault-Levy and Polish producer Marcin Latałło’s Camera Obscura are in production on Cenotaphe (Pomnik), an intimate documentary on crimes of genocide committed during World War II.

WARSAW: Polish, German and English crews are in production On the Sea with Badjao, a documentary that shows an ironic clash of cultures that knows no winner.

BRATISLAVA: Czech director Milan Cieslar is postproduction with the last work by Czech author Arnost Lustig, the screen adaptation of Lustig’s 1992 novel Colette. The film will be Cieslar’s first English language feature.

WARSAW: Director Małgorzata Kozera is in postproduction with the documentary Rebellion (Bunt) focused on the biggest anti-government riots in Eastern Europe in 1989, the year of the collapse of communism. Postproduction is taking place at Vision House in Warsaw.

WARSAW: Scottish theatre director Lee Mackintosh Jones is making his feature film debut with a Mother, a UK-financed film shot in Poland.

WARSAW: Polish writer/producer/director Agnieszka Trzos is preparing to shoot the drama Not for Your Eyes in Poland and the UK in spring 2013.

COTTBUS: Lost in Munich directedy by Petr Zelenka, the Czech film which won the 2011 Connecting Cottbus (www.connecting-cottbus.de) Best Pitch Award, is in preproduction for a June 2013 shoot.

WARSAW: Wrestling in Dakar (Dakarskie zapasy), a Polish/French/British documentary which focuses on the first woman in the wrestling business, promoter and politician Ndeye Ndiaye Tyson, and two young Senegalese wrestlers, is in postproduction.

TBILISI: Dzma, a coproduction from Georgia and France has started filming in Tbilisi.

WARSAW: Fumi Studio (www.fumistudio.com) is in the early stages of development with a 13-episode animated series for adults and children, Galaxy Taxi.

BUDAPEST: Hungarian documentary filmmaker Ágnes Soós is currently shooting Love Stream (Szerelempatak), a look at searching for love in old age.

ZAGREB: Director/screenwriter Silvije Petranovic’s adaptation of I.Brlic.Mazuranic‘s famous children novel The Brave Adventures of Hlapić started shooting in September 11 and will wrap November 17. Maydi Mervar Petranovic and Silvije Petranovic are producing through Maydi Film (www.maydi.com).

ZAGREB: Vanja Svilicić is preparing her first feature, Zagreb Cappuccino, produced by Damir Teresak through Maxima Film (www.maxima-film.hr).

WARSAW: Director and scriptwriter Łukasz Barczyk has begun filming Hiszpanka, a story set during the Greater Poland Uprising in 1918, in Warsaw.

WARSAW: Polish cinematographer, screenwriter and director Krystian Matysek’s wildlife documentary Lord of Carpathians (Niedźwiedź – Władca Gór) is hitting Polish TV screens after three years in production.

WARSAW: The acclaimed avant-garde Polish film director and screenwriter, Grzegorz Królikiewicz is in development with Samuel Zborowski, a historical costume feature drama based on a seventeenth century adventurer.
