KATOWICE: Polish filmmaker and visual artist Teresa Czepiec is developing a documentary that explores the life and workings of a major residential block in Katowice.

WARSAW: Polish cinematographer Jacek Petrycki (Offsiders, Europa Europa) and screenwriter Krystyna Krauze are in production with Returns of Agnieszka H., a multi-layered documentary about Oscar-nominated Agnieszka Holland’s youth, her years at Prague’s FAMU film school and her fascination with the Czech culture.

WARSAW: Platige Image is working on Another Day of Life, an international coproduction with Spain, Germany and Belgium fusing animation and documentary styles.

WARSAW: Polish director Marcin Wronais working on Daemon, an adaption of the Polish theater play Przylgnięcie (Adherance) written by Piotr Rowiecki about a paranormal presence.

WARSAW:  Animation directors Tomasz Leśniak, Jakub Tarkowski and Wojtek Wawszczyk are working on Tim and The Master, an adaptation of a graphic novel by Rafał Skarżycki (script) and Tomasz Lew (graphics). 

WARSAW: Xawery Żuławski will direct the legendary Polish gutter novel Zły with shooting planned to begin by the end of 2013.

WARSAW: Anna Kazejak, director of Flying Pigs, is in the process of casting teenagers for her dramatic feature film Słowo.

WARSAW: Polish actor and director Jerzy Stuhr is in development with Citizen, a new dramatic comedy which he wrote.

PRAGUE: Milan Cieslar has finished shooting his romantic war film Colette based on the book of the same name by Pulitizer Prize nominated Czech writer Arnost Lustig who also co-wrote the script.

VILNIUS: Name in the Dark (Vardas tamsoje), a Lithuanian detective story directed by Agnė Marcinkevičiūtė is in post-production for an October 2013 premiere.

After the success of the romantic comedy Valentinas Vienas (Lonely Valentin),producer Žilvinas Naujokas announced two upcoming projects that will premiere in winter 2013/2014.

PRAGUE: Director Jiří Chlumský has completed production on the romantic comedy Martin a Venuše (Martin and Venus).

ŁÓDŹ: The first puppet series to be made in Poland in 12 years, Flapper the Hare (Zajączek Parauszek), will complete production on its initial 13-episode series in April 2013.

WARSAW: Tomasz Siwinski is completing production on his directorial debut The Blue Room, a short animated film made under the artistic supervision of acclaimed Polish animator Piotr Dumała.

WARSAW/PRAGUE: Journey to Rome, a debut road-comedy directed by Prague-based Polish director Tomasz Mielnik, is in production.

VILNIUS: Lithuanian director Gytis Lukšas is in preproduction with a Lithuanian-Danish coproduction Man’s Life in Autumn.
