WARSAW: Tomasz Siwinski is completing production on his directorial debut The Blue Room, a short animated film made under the artistic supervision of acclaimed Polish animator Piotr Dumała.

WARSAW/PRAGUE: Journey to Rome, a debut road-comedy directed by Prague-based Polish director Tomasz Mielnik, is in production.

VILNIUS: Lithuanian director Gytis Lukšas is in preproduction with a Lithuanian-Danish coproduction Man’s Life in Autumn.

PRAGUE: Preproduction on the TV series and feature film historical epic drama 1864 is underway in Prague for an April 2013 start of filming.

VILNIUS: The first Lithuanian-Latvian coproduction feature film The Gambler (Lošėjas) from director Ignas Jonynas is now in postproduction.

WARSAW: Polish documentary filmmaker Marcin Latałło is preparing Sailor in Łódź a feature comedy about a man who is lost in the fiction he creates.

KRAKOW: Magdalena Piekorz is developing a City(W)rites documentary with the working title Krakow Adama Zagajewskiego (Adam Zagajewski's Krakow).

WARSAW: Independent Polish art-house production company Koi Studio is in production with its first fiction feature film Little Crushes (Małe stłuczki).

KRAKOW: Private broadcaster TVN is increasing its more original Polish content with the addition of a new series, Szpital (The Hospital).

VILNIUS: Four directors have teamed up on the feature film Lonely Valentin (Valentinas Vienas) which is completing postproduction in advance of a pan-European premiere on 8 February 2013.

WARSAW: Krztszof Rogulski has started postproduction on his film about Stanisław Lenartowicz, one of the creators of the Polish film school.

KRAKOW: Marcin Koszałka is shooting his début feature Red Spider, a thriller inspired by the case of a Polish serial killer

BUDAPEST: Hungarian filmmaker Ibolya Fekete (Bolshe Vita, Chico)  is in pre-production on her next film, Mom and Other Loonies in the Family (Anyám és más futóbolondok a családban).

ŁÓDŹ: The Sound of Nature – The Nature of Sound, a documentary directed by Jacek Piotr Bławut is scheduled to film between March 2013 and January 2014 in United States.

WARSAW: After six years of development, Jan Komasa started work on a contemporary drama on the Warsaw Uprising.
