WARSAW: After a promising start in Gdynia, the young Polish filmmaker Tomasz Wasilewski is in production with his second feature film,
Floating Skyscrapers.

BRATISLAVA: Gejza Dezorz plans to shoot his first feature film, Indian Summer, beginning on 17 September 2012, produced by Marian Urban through ALEF Film&Media Group, s.r.o. (www.afm.sk).

WARSAW: Polish independent film director Sebastian Buttny follows his short films and documentaries with his feature debut, Heavy Mental, currently in postproduction.

WARSAW: Jacek Bromski began shooting on a coming of age story set in Poland of the 1960's, A Trip to the Moon, on 2 August 2012 in Kazimierz Dolny.

PRAGUE: Director Dora Kapralova is in production with Soilmania, a feature length Czech-German coproduction filmed in Czech, German, and English.

BUCHAREST:The Romanian-French filmmaker Cornel Gheorghita (Europolis) is in postproduction with his second feature, a Romanian-French coproduction shot mostly in Romania.

BRATISLAVA: Slovak directors Peter Begányi (Erotic Nation) and Andrej Kolenčík are in post-production with The Exhibition, a medium-length bitter comedy scheduled to come out in early 2013.

VILNIUS: Emilis Velyvis, director of the Lithuanian cult film hit Zero 2, is in production with Flight Redirected, a Lithuanian/UK coproduction.

WARSAW: Magdalena Piekorz, one of Poland's rising young directors, is preparing to film Encounters (Zblizenia), a drama about a tumultuous relationship between a mother and her older daughter and her husband.

WARSAW: Director Mikołaj Haremski is in production with Gabriel, a family film for young children, shooting on location in rural Poland.  

BUCHAREST: After starring in several acclaimed Romanian New Wave features Dragoş Bucur is preparing to shoot his directorial debut, Love Building, starting 23 July 2012.

WARSAW: Accomplished Polish director Wojciech Smarzowski will direct a film based on The Mighty Angel, the bestselling Polish novel by Jerzy Pilch.

LUBLIN, POLAND: Polish broadcaster Telewizja Polska (TVP, www.tvp.pl) has begun production of a new daytime drama that will be shot both in Lublin and Milan.

BUCHAREST: Klaus Menzel's independent medium budget feature What About Love starring Sharon Stone and Andy Garcia is scheduled to begin filming in Romania on 5 August 2012.

BUCHAREST: Mihai Ionescu (Different Mothers) is in the early stages of preparation and financing for his second feature, The Shoe Box, a tragicomedy set in the communist era.

PRAGUE: Oscar winning director has started a two month shoot on Suknickari, (Womanizer or Skirt-chaser) his first film since I Served the King of England.
