VILNIUS: The Spanish-Lithuanian co-production Blood in the Snow (Sangre en la nieve) from director Gerardo Herrero will complete filming by 15 April 2011.

One of the biggest Polish music festivals will be the topic of Opener Generation, the first Polish document made with the help of the whole community of participants. The creative team behind Opener Generation, a social documentary about the Heineken Music Open'er Festival (www.opener.pl) in Gdynia, are inviting all past participants of the event to take part in the production.
PRODUCTION: The Island Completes Postproduction
SOFIA: Bulgarian director Kamen Kalev announced that the postproduction of his second feature The Island is now completed. He told FNE that the edit of the film, which was shot in the summer of 2010 on the Black sea Saint Anastasia Island, was locked in mid-February 2011 in Denmark and the postproduction was completed in Sweden.

Parade, directed by Srđan Dragojević co-produced by Serbia, Macedonia, Croatia and Slovenia, and funded by Eurimages, completed a week shoot on locations in Croatia. The film is co-funded by the Croatian Audiovisual Centre (www.hvac.hr).

WARSAW: Polish director Andrzej Skłodowski is reconstructing one of the biggest break-outs from Nazi work camps in his new documentary Harry - tunel do wolności ( Harry - A Tunnel to Freedom), a documentary about the escape of 76 Polish pilots from the Stalag Luff camp in Żagań.

WARSAW: Marcin Krzyształowicz is in preproduction with Manhunt (Obława), a thriller set during of German occupation of Poland during WWII.
PRODUCTION: Translator Wraps Filming
ZAGREB: The Croatian Audiovisual Centre (HAVC, www.havc.hr) announced that a five week shoot on Translator was completed in mid-March. The film, directed by Biljana Čakić Veselič, is produced by Inter Film (www.interfilm.hr) and public broadcaster Croatian Radio and Television (www.hrt.hr) with funding from HAVC.

PRODUCTION: Jakub Kroner’s Lóve in Postproduction
BRATISLAVA: The 24-year-old Slovak director/writer Jakub Kroner (Bratislavafilm) is in post-production with his sophomore effort, Lóve (Slovak slang for ‘money'), the story of a young gangster who tries to change his life after he falls in love with a college student. The premiere is slated for October 2011.
PRODUCTION: Vendetta in Production
PRAGUE: Czech producer Vratislav Šlajer of Bionaut Films company (www.bionaut.cz) and director/screenwriter Miroslav Ondruš are in production with a criminal thriller, Vendeta. The 20 day shoot began 10 March 2011 and will continue through April in Prague and central Bohemia. The film is scheduled for release in the last quarter of 2011, Petr Slavík of distribution company Bontonfilm (www.bontonfilm.cz) announced.
PRODUCTION: Yuma in Production
The Polish/Czech coproduction Yuma, a drama set in the early 1990's directed by Piotr Mularuk, is scheduled to go into postproduction in May 2011. The Polish premiere is scheduled for 11 November 2011 in Poland and early 2012 in the Czech Republic.
