SARAJEVO: CineLink Talks will welcome 21 panels and 59 speakers from 13 to 18 August 2022. This year, the conference part of the CineLink Industry Days will be extended to three locations.

WARSAW: Producers from Slovakia, Latvia, Hungary, Poland, Montenegro and Croatia are among the 27 participants selected for the 2nd edition of the programme Producers LINK for emerging producers of children’s content.

PODGORICA: The 35th edition of the Herceg Novi - Montenegro Film Festival will be held 22-28 August 2022 and it will focus on films from the region. The festival organises competitions for feature, documentary and student films.

VALLETTA: Malta Film Commission has launched Jurassic World attractions in the towns Valletta, Birgu and Mellieħa. The initiative aims at improving screen tourism as well as family tourism. Jurassic World Dominion by Colin Trevorrow was partly shot in Malta in 2021.

PRAGUE: The Czech/German interactive animated film Darkening / Tmání by Ondřej Moravec, which will have its world premiere in the Venice Immersive 2022 competition, is a 25-minute immersive experience which addresses depression and the ways to cope with it. It is also the first Czech VR film supported by the Czech Film Fund.

SARAJEVO: Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen will receive the Honorary Heart of Sarajevo for his contribution to the art of film, while the American Academy Award-nominated actor, director, playwright and author Jesse Eisenberg will be presented with the Heart of Sarajevo Award at the 28th Sarajevo Film Festival.

BUDAPEST: The Budapest International Documentary Festival (BIDF) has opened the submissions for its 9th edition, which will be held 21-29 January 2023.

PRAGUE: Veronika Lišková’s documentary The Visitors has been picked-up by Taskovski Films ahead of its premiere in the Semaine de la Critique section at the 75th edition of the Locarno Film Festival (3 – 13 August 2022).

PRAGUE: Czech Government has approved 23 m EUR / 570 m CZK for film incentives, which will add to the 32.5 m EUR / 800 m CZK decided in the original draft budget. The amendment will now be submitted to the Chamber of Deputies.

PODGORICA: Film Centre of Montenegro has distributed 61,000 EUR as script and project development grants to nine projects.
