RIGA: The industry event of the Riga International Film Festival (RIGA IFF), RIGA IFF Forum, has launched the call for applications for its two main events: Short Riga Test Screenings and RIGA IFF Showcase. The deadline is 12 August 2024.

TALLINN: Female film and TV industry professionals from the Baltic countries under the age of 30 can apply to the "Baltic Women in Film Mentorship till 11 August 2024. The 4th edition of this programme will be held during a seven-month period from October 2024 to April 2025.

RIGA IFF FORUM, the industry programme of Riga International Film Festival (RIGA IFF) taking place 24–26 October, has announced the open call for its two main sections. Starting 12 June, submissions are open for RIGA IFF SHOWCASE, a pitching session for feature film and series projects, as well as for SHORT RIGA Test Screenings, a regionally unique in-depth professional feedback session for short films. WROCLAW: A total of 285 films will screen at the 24th mBank New Horizons International Film Festival, which will be held in Wrocław 18 – 28 July and online 18 July – 4 August 2024. Films by Gábor Reisz and Deimantas Narkevičius are among the 12 titles selected for the International Competition.

European screenwriters can now apply for the 2nd edition of Full Moon Creative Lab

Romanian Film Promotion and the Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF) invites European screenwriters to submit their horror, thriller & fantasy series or mini-series ideas to be developed in a Writers’ room, for the second edition of the Full Moon Creative Lab, a project co-funded by European Union.

ŽILINA: La voix des sirènes (France, Italy) by Gianluigi Toccafondo won Best Animated Short at the 17th edition of Fest Anča International Animation Festival, which wrapped in Žilina, Slovakia on 30 June 2024. Fest Anča is the only Slovak multimedia festival that focuses on animated film primarily for adult audiences.
