BUDAPEST: Romanian-born Budapest-based director Katalin Moldovai is currently in postproduction with her debut feature Total Eclipse (working title) / Teljes napfogyatkozás, whose 32-day shooting was completed on 3 September 2021 in Gheorgheni, Romania. The film is based on an incident that happened in Romania five years ago.

TALLINN: The acclaimed director Tanel Toom, whose short film The Confession was nominated to the 83rd Academy Awards in 2011, has wrapped shooting in Tallinn on sci-fi thriller Sentinel, a British/Estonian/German coproduction starring Kate Bosworth, Thomas Kretschmann, Lucien Laviscount and Martin McCann.

PRODUCTION: First Animated Series Produced in Serbia Stars Johnny Depp
BELGRADE: The production of the first season of the first animated series created in Serbia and intended for global distribution, called Puffins Impossible – The Series, has been completed. It is a spin-off of the famous series Puffins, with Johnny Depp in the lead role. Depp came to Belgrade to promote the project.

PRAGUE: HBO is in production on the six-part Slovak TV series The Winner / Víťaz (working title), under the new label HBO Max Original. The Winner is being produced by Tereza Polachová and executive produced for HBO Max by Steve Matthews and Jonathan Young. The Czech company ETAMP Film Production is producing the project for HBO.

LJUBLJANA: Petra Seliškar is currently shooting her sixth documentary Land of Sar / Dežela Šarplaninca in the Solunska Glava mountains, in North Macedonia. This French/Slovenian/Macedonian coproduction follows three teenagers spending their summer in the mountains, looking after sheep with the help of shepherd dogs.
