WARSAW: False Witness, the film written by Iglika Triffonova which won the Krzysztof Kieślowski Award at the fifth edition of ScripTeast, is now shooting.  

LODZ: After a long break, renowned Polish director Grzegorz Królikiewicz makes a comeback with Neighbors, a warm, absurd comedy about extraordinary people.

WARSAW: Agnieszka Holland is in preparation with Game Count (Polish title Pokot), a crime drama which will go into production in 2014.

WARSAW: Jan Jakub Kolski will complete filming on Serce, serduszko i wyprawa na koniec świata (Heart, Heartling and the Journey To The End Of The World) at the end of November 2013.

BRATISLAVA: Production is nearing the end of its first phase on Live and Let Live (Ži a nechaj ziť) a Slovak political thriller inspired by real events from 1995-1996 in Slovakia.

WARSAW: Gods, a drama about the Polish heart transplant pioneer, is in production in Warsaw.

WARSAW: Dariusz Glazer starts shooting his debut drama with Mur (Wall) starring Tomasz Schuchardt on 8 October 2013 in Warsaw.

BRATISLAVA: Slovak production company Furia Film is in production with the feature film Diary of Agatha Schindler, which depicts fragments of the lives of four Jewish musicians who were deported to concentration camps just their promising artistic careers were on the rise.

PRAGUE: Debuting director Michal Samir finished a marathon three-day filming schedule on Hany, a drama shot on location in the famed Czech brewery city of Plzen, on 21 September 2013.

WARSAW: Internationally acclaimed Polish artist Zbigniew Libera is in production with his directing debut, an experimental science-fiction feature titled Walser starring Krzysztof Stroiński (Fear of Falling) and Adam Sikora (Essential Killing, The Mill and the Cross) as the film’s cinematographer. Libera co-wrote the script with Grzegorz Jankowicz.

BUDAPEST: Weekend, the Hungarian winner of the International Hartley-Merrill Screenwriting Award, will begin a seven-week shoot on locations in Budapest, rural Hungary and in Transylvania in Romania in mid-October.

WARSAW: After years in development, Sławomir Fabicki confirmed to FNE that he will start works on Bonobo Jingo in June of 2014. The cast of the film will include a chimpanzee.

GDYNIA: Katarzyna Rosłaniec plans to leave the world of teenage girls in distress and is developing a drama inspired by  her present life experiences.

TALLINN: Blood Type, a documentary on the lives of Estonian soldiers serving in Afghanistan, will be marking the final phase of the Baltic country's decade-long commitment when it's released to local cinemas on 4 October.

NEW PHILADELPHIA: Filmmakers for Czech TV recounting the life of Moravian missionary David Zeisberger for Vistafilm are exploring Tuscarawas County, Pennsylvania currently, shooting in places connected with his life, including many Moravian churches still holding services today.
